I have always had a passion for understanding how mind and body work together as the foundation of a healthy life. Everything in our lives – relationships, vocation, mood, self-esteem, and aging is influenced by the challenges we face doing the lifework of achieving physical-emotional-spiritual balance and wholeness. Because my training in counseling intersects with experience in many other integrative disciplines, I am a good match with clients interested in exploring a path that will lead to sustainable results.
I became aware of the connection between physical discomfort and mental/emotional states during a 15-year career as a Massage Therapist. This realization prompted me to become a Certified Subtle Yoga Therapist. Subtle Yoga can be utilized in the counseling process to help reduce anxiety, depression, chronic pain and the residue of traumatic experiences through gentle movement, mindfulness, and breathing practices. I found it helpful in my own life and have seen many of my clients gain a sense of balance and wholeness.
As a certified Health Coach, I work collaboratively with clients in counseling to identify their personal and wellness challenges and to receive caring support and guidance to reach toward those goals.
After receiving my Master’s degree in Counseling, I worked with a variety of clients, including graduate students of all ages, Veterans, and those with chronic illness, all who seek more self-understanding and support in their personal and relational lives.
I provide a safe, gentle therapeutic space to allow the inherent wisdom of your body, mind and spirit to guide you in discovering your own deep truths. You will learn to increase your self-awareness, become more resilient in daily life, and accept yourself as you are while finding transformation toward the goals you cherish.
