Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have been in practice over 10 years providing individual, family, and group therapy. My bachelor’s degree is in Community Health Science. I have long been an advocate for the balance of mind and body in order to live our best life. I am a true believer that emotional distress can cause physical pain and illness.
I had long been drawn to social work but did not pursue my education and degree until I was older and in a life transition stage. I have had a variety of life experiences and I pull from these experiences to be able to relate to my clients on a very personal level.
I received my Master of Social Work Degree in 2006 from the University of Central Florida. I have intensive training in play therapy and find it useful not only for children but adults as well. I am EMDR II trained and experienced. My clinical experience encompasses trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship problems along with many other identified mental health problems.
My experience with critically ill and hospice clients has given me a passion to work with people who are grieving. Grief encompasses not only the loss of those we love also the loss of unfulfilled dreams and desires due to life difficulties.
I look forward to working with you on your life’s journey.
